Multiplayer Racing Game About Seals Is Now Free on Steam
Steam just dropped a new indie multiplayer title that’s equal parts chaotic and hilarious — and it’s completely free to claim for a limited time. Say hello to Flipper Frenzy, a physics-based racing game where seals are the stars of the track.
Currently available in Early Access, Flipper Frenzy lets players bellyflop, slide, and splash their way across a series of bizarre racecourses in both single-player and multiplayer modes. It’s weird, it’s fun, and it’s absolutely free — at least for now.
What Is Flipper Frenzy?
Described by the developers as “a racing game. With seals,” Flipper Frenzy throws out any complex storylines or grand missions. Instead, the goal is simple: flop, glide, and race to the finish line.
Movement in the game is intentionally clumsy on land, where players flop around awkwardly in true seal fashion. But once you hit the water, the game flips — literally — into a high-speed aquatic experience. Navigating both terrains skillfully is part of the challenge and part of the fun.

Core Gameplay and Features
At its heart, Flipper Frenzy is a physics-based racer with a unique twist. The awkward seal mechanics make every race unpredictable, whether you’re flopping down a beach or launching through sky tubes in surreal tracks.
The Early Access version already includes:
- Online and Local Multiplayer – Race solo, split-screen with friends, or battle it out online
- Customizable Seals – Pick your seal’s colors, patterns, and general aesthetic
- Strange and Creative Tracks – Courses include dystopian seal cities and chaotic water tunnels
Even better, the game doesn’t take itself too seriously. Expect unpredictable collisions, goofy controls, and plenty of belly laughs as you slide toward victory (or total disaster).
More Content Coming Soon
While Flipper Frenzy is in its early stage, the developers have promised a lot more to come. Future updates are expected to add:
- Seal parkour mechanics
- Obstacle courses
- PvP battle modes
- A larger selection of seal species (aka pinnipeds)
The developers clearly know their audience — fans who love absurd games with chaotic multiplayer fun — and they’re leaning into it hard.
How to Get It Free
Flipper Frenzy is free to claim right now on Steam, but only for a limited time. Once the Early Access window ends, the game will likely become paid. So if you’re even a little curious, now’s the time to grab it.
To claim:
- Go to Steam
- Search for “Flipper Frenzy”
- Click Add to Library
- It’s yours to keep — no payment required
With its quirky premise, ridiculous physics, and online mayhem, Flipper Frenzy is shaping up to be a standout party racer. And since it won’t stay free forever, it’s worth grabbing while you can.
